Smokestack Studios is located in the heart of Gosport, a five minute drive from the Gosport Ferry to Portsmouth. The studio provides a comfortable and creative space for aspiring musicians, with an inspiring environment to hone your craft and bring your ideas to life.
Our passion is to work with you to achieve your individual sound with no limits, at an affordable price. We have years of experience in performing and recording, and want to share that with you to help you get the very best from your music.
Smokestack Studios was established at the beginning of 2020, taking over the premises from former recording studios Bad Bear Studio and Trax.
The studio is situated within The Sanderson Centre, a multi-use building that's home to a wide variety of local businesses. Prior to its current use, the building was home to a wallpaper factory, and a motorcycle production facility before that.
The name "Smokestack" serves as a tribute to the band The Smokestacks, as well as a reference to the large nearby chimney that can be seen throughout the local area.
